2 · Maintenance Process
Incoming checkAfter cleaning, inspect fillings, baskets, rotor foils and seal-water system; record wear.
Vibration surveyBearing vibration spectrum — low freq: unbalance, high freq: bearings; dynamic balancing if needed.
Seal waterCheck seal-water pressure, flow and quality; replace mechanical seals; upgrade to non-flow seals if required.
Filling renewalDismantle filling seats; fit new rotor / stator fillings; clean mating faces; torque to spec.
Foil gapFeeler-check foil-to-basket gap; shim to nominal (2–8 mm depending on rotor type).
Baskets / conesReplace worn baskets; inspect cleaner cone liners; replace perforated ones.
BearingsInspect / replace bearings; flush and re-oil lubrication system.
AlignmentRe-check coupling alignment; verify loading-mechanism freedom.
Trial runJog to confirm direction, no abnormal noise; at speed re-verify vibration, seal-water flow and leakage.
