Feed Chute Remanufacturing

Base-plate and nose rebuild with 316L / tungsten-carbide cross welding, CNC machining and -1° to -2° fitting allowance.

ScopeFeed chute remanufacturing to base standard

1 · Equipment Overview

Basic remanufacturing standard applied to both machine models; missing covers / side panels replaced on request.

2 · Maintenance Process

Clean, measure, assessClean, measure main dimensions, inspect welds for cracks; confirm remanufacturing feasibility.
Crack repairGrind cracks to sound metal; fill with DWA 50 wire.
Bottom build-upFill with DW 316L (≈ 400 mm zone above bottom plate) verified against bottom-knife template; cross-groove highest-wear area.
Hardfacing cross weldTungsten-carbide Corodur 6096 build-up in the cross grooves; DW 316L on both sides.
Nose build-upBuild up leading edge to correct size + machining allowance (controlled from keyway), DWA 50.
Curved face build-upBuild up discharge curve (chute rotated 90° for work), DWA 50.
Keyway build-upBuild up base-plate keyway with DWA 50, leaving machining allowance.
CNC machiningBase plate (flatness), keyway, nose (from keyway datum), curve to drawing angle −1° to −2° for easy fitting.
ExtrasReplace / remanufacture sight-glass studs and assemble (kept operable per customer habit).
Coating & packingPaint to original colour and spec; pack for land / sea transport.

4 · Acceptance & Handover

Base plate / keyway / nose / curve geometry restored to drawing; hardfacing covers the high-wear zone; CNC allowance meets the −1° to −2° fitting angle; painted, inspected and packed for delivery (both machine models to the same standard). Missing top covers remade on request; incomplete side panels replaced; base-plate M24 threads re-tapped.
