Raumatech combines Finnish and German OEM engineering discipline with a mature Yangtze Delta supply chain — field service, spare parts and roll engineering, localized for the mills that keep the paper industry running. Every diagnosis from measured data, every recommendation from computation, every job closed with a written report.
Request a quote Explore field serviceRaumatech was founded by engineers trained inside Finnish and German paper-machine OEM service organizations. We work on Valmet, Metso, Andritz and Voith machines every week — and we brought the discipline home: measure first, compute before recommending, and close every job with a written report.
Behind Raumatech stands a manufacturing base in the Yangtze Delta: a ~90-person non-standard roll manufacturer with new-roll, repair and grinding workshops, led by a founder with 20 years in production management and mechanical CAD / simulation engineering. Field engineers and roll engineers are the same people you talk to; there is no call-center layer between your machine and the person who fixes it.
“Learn from the barbarians, to counter the barbarians.”
Our technology comes from Finnish and German OEMs. Our answer to their monopoly is not imitation — it is localization: capability, tooling and spare parts developed onshore, at verified cost, for the mills that run this industry. World-class engineering should not stop at the border, and it should not carry a monopoly price tag.
From the headbox to the reel — you coordinate one partner instead of a spare-parts vendor, a contractor and the OEM separately.
Crown grinding, dynamic balancing, re-covering and bearing & journal repair for every class of paper-machine roll; complete overhauls of fiber-line equipment — cooking, washing, screening, refining — with critical parts remanufactured to OEM drawing dimensions and process standards.
Explore roll engineering →Startup commissioning, running-fault diagnosis, emergency repair and roll-position retrofits with operation optimization. Vibration, temperature and dewatering problems diagnosed on site — plus operator and maintenance-team training, so your crew holds the gains after we leave.
Explore field service →OEM-equivalent and domestic-substitute parts, roll-specific components and a structured consumables catalog — recommended against your actual operating conditions, not a generic list. Shorter lead times, lower inventory cost, every part traceable.
Explore spare parts →Roll-profile selection, nip-load and dewatering verification, fiber-line energy-saving and capacity upgrades. Assessment and expected benefit back to you within one week — and support through project approval and implementation, not just a report.
Request an assessment →Engineers, machinists and analysts who have commissioned paper machines, ground their rolls and written their reports — organized around what can be measured, computed and verified.
Crown grinding to ±0.05 mm, dynamic balancing, re-covering and bearing & journal repair across the full paper-machine roll range — plus vacuum-roll and Yankee drilling, and lithium-separator casting, cooling, tension and corona rolls. CFRP shells are CLT-designed and FE-verified, with plating and spray surface treatment developed in-house. Behind it: a ~90-person Yangtze Delta workshop — new-roll build, repair and grinding under one roof.
Tissue-machine commissioning, Yankee service, roll-position retrofits and multi-base overhaul programs executed across China and Asia-Pacific — including an overseas roll workshop taken from installation to trained staff and first production in three months. Cross-border coordination with Finnish, Swedish, Polish and British engineering resources; 30+ vetted local subcontractors under one accountable project manager.
In-house flow, deflection and nip calculation behind every recommendation; an AI knowledge base that converts each completed job into a reusable engineering asset; agent and low-code tools that put computation in the engineer's hand at the machine; ERP-grade process discipline from quotation to invoice — so advice is arithmetic, not opinion.
Vibration analysis on VMI-class instrumentation — spectrum, waveform, envelope, phase, bump test, run-up / coast-down, thermal imaging and current signature — plus on-site dynamic balancing of dryers, fans and rotors without dismantling, and analyst training for your own maintenance team. Every diagnosis lands in a written report, with the data behind it.
